Same Scene. Different Lens.
Clara Grace Vision™
An initiative of THE SHODIPO~ASIMOLOWO FOUNDATION
Understanding another person’s perspective does not require surrendering your own.
Look beyond your own lens long enough to understand another perspective.
Separate intention from impact, ask instead of assuming, and name what is needed.
Find the shared truth and determine what a relationship needs next.
Same Scene. Different Lens.
Two people can stand in the same relationship, experience the same moment, hear the same words…and walk away with completely different realities.
One person may see abandonment.
The other may believe they are giving space.
One may experience silence as rejection.
The other may intend silence as patience.
One may think, You don’t care about me.
The other may think, I love you enough not to make this worse.
Neither perspective automatically tells the whole story.
CLARA GRACE VISION™ teaches people to look beyond their own lens long enough to understand what the other person may actually be seeing.
“What else could be true?”
A Grace Moment™ is a period when emotion, fear, stress, hurt, frustration, exhaustion, or past experience changes how a person interprets what is happening around them.
The goal is not to dismiss the emotion.
The goal is to understand it…and then ask:
“What else could be true?”
That one question can change a conversation.
Sometimes even a relationship.
Create clarity before deciding what comes next.
Triage
What is happening right now? Is anyone unsafe? What is each person feeling, hearing, assuming, and needing?
Stabilize
Stop escalation. Reduce fear. Create enough emotional safety for both people to communicate without attacking, withdrawing, threatening, or trying to “win.”
History
Understand what each person brought into the moment…past experiences, expectations, triggers, communication styles, financial pressures, cultural differences, family history, and previous wounds.
Disposition
Decide what happens next…a conversation, an apology, a boundary, changed behavior, outside support, reconciliation, or sometimes recognition that a relationship should not continue.
Before reacting:
- Listen without judgment.
- See the situation through their lens.
- Separate intention from impact.
- Ask instead of assuming.
- Say what you actually need.
- Find the truth you share.
- Then decide what comes next.
Perspective is not surrender.
Because understanding another person’s perspective does not require surrendering your own.
Grace is not tolerating mistreatment.
Grace is creating enough clarity to determine what is actually happening.
Different perspectives appear wherever people relate to one another.
CLARA GRACE VISION™ can be used between spouses, parents and children, siblings, friends, coworkers, students and teachers, caregivers and patients, communities, and generations.
THE SHODIPO~ASIMOLOWO FOUNDATION will ultimately develop age-appropriate Her Grace™ and His Grace™ simulations that allow people to experience the same conflict from opposite perspectives…then switch sides.
The lesson becomes something they experience, not simply something they are told.
See each other accurately before deciding what the disagreement means.
We are not teaching people to agree about everything.
We are teaching them how to see each other accurately before deciding what the disagreement means.
Because sometimes the greatest distance between two people is not what happened…
It is what each person believes happened.
SEE THE SAME SCENE.
