Grace's Men's Lounge, a global Black men's circle

The ÌṢỌ̀KAN Brotherhood

Grace's Men's Lounge™

A Global Men's Circle of THE SHODIPO~ASIMOLOWO FOUNDATION.

No performance. No armor. Just men telling the truth.

A Protected Space for Honest Brotherhood

GRACE'S MEN'S LOUNGE™ is a private, invitation-only gathering created to give Black men something they are rarely offered: a comfortable, protected space where they are not required to lead, provide, perform, solve, or pretend that everything is fine.

The experience brings together interconnected men's lounges in the United States, Nigeria, and the Caribbean. Each location reflects its own culture while sharing the same intimate atmosphere—warm firelight, deep leather couches, culturally rooted food, self-served drinks, music, brotherhood, and honest conversation.

There is no stage. No podium. No formal panel. No audience sitting in rows. The men sit together as brothers.

The Leadership

Local circles. Shared integrity.

United States

Marvin “I‑Sypha” Pluck~Asimolowo

The Rastaman will lead the United States circle.

Nigeria

Pastor Peejay

Pastor Peejay will lead the Nigerian circle, gathering trusted men from his community.

Caribbean

A Respected Caribbean Host

A respected Caribbean host will establish the corresponding circle in the Caribbean.

Dr. Olabisi Omolara Pluck ~ Asimolowo, M.D., created the vision through THE SHODIPO~ASIMOLOWO FOUNDATION, but she will not participate in the men's conversation. This space belongs to the men.

The Foundation will protect the vision, structure, resources, and integrity of the program while allowing the brotherhood to shape its own voice.

Who Sits in the Room

An intergenerational circle of Black men.

Each room will include a carefully selected group of young men, fathers, husbands, elders, professionals, tradesmen, faith leaders, creatives, mentors, and community builders.

Men will be chosen because of their integrity, experience, honesty, and willingness to listen—not because of title, wealth, popularity, or status.

The Evening Begins Privately

Trust comes before cameras.

Before any cameras are activated, the men arrive, serve themselves, eat, settle into the room, and establish trust.

The Brotherhood Covenant

Every man enters a room protected by shared commitments.

  • Listen without ridicule.
  • Speak from personal experience.
  • Never force disclosure.
  • Never expose another man's private story.
  • Allow every brother the right to pause, pass, or step away.
Connected Across Borders

Only after trust is established will the international rooms connect.

Professional cameras will capture the conversation naturally from multiple angles without turning the gathering into a production set.

The United States, Nigeria, and Caribbean lounges will see and hear one another in real time, allowing men from different cultures and generations to recognize that many of the burdens they carry are shared.

The Inaugural Conversation

WHAT BLACK MEN CARRY IN SILENCE

The physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual weight Black men are often expected to carry without complaint.

  • The pressure to provide.
  • The fear of failing their families.
  • The health concerns they postpone.
  • The grief they never learned to name.
  • The isolation hidden beneath strength.
  • The changing realities of marriage, fatherhood, money, work, aging, illness, and purpose.
  • The need to be valued for more than what they can produce.
The Conversation Begins with One Question

What is one weight you carry that the people who depend on you may never fully see?

From there, the men will examine what being healthy actually means when survival is no longer enough…who checks on the man everyone else depends on…what Black boys need to hear before the world defines manhood for them…and what Black men must begin doing for one another after the conversation ends.

Privacy Before Publicity

Vulnerability will never become content without consent.

The public may witness a carefully defined portion of the global conversation, but the most vulnerable parts of the gathering will remain private.

Arrival, trust-building, personal disclosures, and the closing circle will not be livestreamed. No man's pain will become content without his clear permission.

Seven-Day Follow-Up

Support continues after the room closes.

Within seven days, each local host will follow up privately.

Men who need medical, mental-wellness, family, financial, or community resources will be connected discreetly and respectfully.

Three Commitments

Every gathering ends with truth, action, and connection.

1

One Truth

One truth he is leaving with.

2

One Action

One action he will take.

3

One Brother

One brother he will check on.

Not Group Therapy

Although healing may occur.

Not a Clinical Lecture

Although lives may become healthier.

Not Entertainment

Although the world may be invited to witness a portion of it.

It is brotherhood—created with intention, protected with integrity, and connected across borders.
